The Armidale & New England Show, formerly the Armidale & New England Pastoral, Agricultural and Horticultural Association, is the longest running community-organized event in Armidale, with the first Show being held in 1876.
The annual Show is a great chance to celebrate our local community and showcase the diverse range of skills and talents of our district, from Stud Beef Cattle and Sheep, to Jams, Preserves and Honey, Woodwork, Handicrafts and even Home Brewing!
The 2022 Armidale Show will be held on March 4th and 5th at the Armidale Showgrounds.

Hollie Giles - 2021 Armidale & New England Showgirl Winner.
Having recently moved back to Armidale, local girl Hollie works full time at the Powerhouse Hotel as a food and beverage attendant while studying a diploma of hospitality management. She has a passion for the New England region and enjoys exploring national parks, local food, wine and local entertainment. Hollie joined the showgirl competition to make new friends, be more involved in the community and to share her love of the New England area with a greater audience.

Emily Hughes - 2021 Armidale & New England Showgirl Runner-up.
Having grown up in the NT, Emily is a long way from home but proves that anything is possible if you put your mind and heart into it. Currently studying a Bachelor of Psychology with a major in behavioural studies, as well as a Bachelor of Paramedicine, she also works part time at the Powerhouse, while owning and running her own equestrian business. Emily joined the showgirl competition to bring her own style to the show and help see it grow and continue into the future.

Shannon Walker
Shannon is currently working casually while striving to developing herself for a career in social work which she would like to use to assist children in difficult situations. Her hobbies include reading, drawing, playing sports and spending time with her dog. Shannon joined showgirl at the recommendation of a friend and views it as a great opportunity to develop herself while gaining a new experience.

Angela Fittler
Angie is a 19 year old local who enjoys music, swimming and church. Currently employed as a Pharmacy Assistant she plans to expand her horizons through overseas missionary work. Angie chose to join the showgirl competition after learning about her mums experience and was looking forward to the learning opportunity it presented.
